“…had the pleasure of being treated by Queenie Wu. Queenie was knowledgeable and patient when I attempted to describe the pain/sensations I was having in my knee after a fall. Although I felt that I wasn’t able to articulate my problem accurately, Queenie made me feel listened to and understood. She devised a treatment plan that worked within my schedule and I even looked forward to our treatment sessions – she even included some easy yoga into my treatment which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend Queenie Wu to anyone who is looking for physiotherapy in downtown Toronto :)”

— A.D.

“I injured my back and shoulders because of heaving lifting and constantly mass producing breads and different baked goods. The physiotherapist Queenie Wu did an amazing job on helping me to recover, and taught me lots of exercises to strength up my core and muscle. Queenie is very professional, patient and friendly. She knew that I am interested in doing yoga, she taught me lots of different yoga moves to strength up my core and muscle that I always use during my work. I am glad that now I am recovered, and grateful to have Queenie as my physiotherapist! Thank you for helping me to recover so I can create more wonderful pastries and bread without any problem!”

— Z.L.

“Physiotherapy on the second floor is amazing. Great and professional staff, kind receptionists. Physiotherapist Queenie Wu was the only health practitioner out of many that I saw that could diagnose my condition with certainty. I would recommend her to anyone for hey knowledge and experience.”

FAQs

Do I need A Doctor’s Note for your services?

No. However, if you plan to make a claim from your extended health care plan, please check the details of your plan, as some insurance companies require a doctor’s referral before providing reimbursement.

How Should I prepare for my first session?

For virtual appointments:

  • Connect 5 minutes before your appointment.

  • Find a quiet space with enough room to place a yoga mat where you can lie down or stand for exercises and movements.

  • For pelvic assessments, you must complete the pelvic questionnaires emailed to you before the session.

For in-person appointments at the clinic:

  • Please complete the COVID screening form (online or in-person) and stay at home if you have any symptoms of illness, if you may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or if you travelled outside of Canada the last 14 days.

  • Please wear a medical face mask or face covering to the clinic.

  • Please wear or bring loose comfortable clothing.

  • If you were referred by your doctor, please bring your Doctor’s referral note.

  • Please bring any relevant diagnostic imaging test results.

  • If you are claiming insurance through your extended health care plan, please bring your member ID card or information.

For in-person internal pelvic assessments:

  • You must complete the pelvic questionnaires emailed to you before the session.

  • You can do the internal pelvic assessment even on your period.

  • You do not need to shave or do any preparation for the session.

What To expect during & After my first session?

Queenie will start the session with a detailed interview to understand the cause(s) to your symptoms. She may delve into your lifestyle, sleep, stress and other components that may contribute to your symptoms.

For virtual appointments, she will do a comprehensive movement screen, assess functional movements, postures and/or your home environment/workspace related to your symptoms. She may also guide you through self-examination and you will report back to her changes in your symptoms. For in-person appointments, Queenie will also do a comprehensive movement screen and assess functional movements and postures related to your symptoms. She may do hands-on tests and see how it changes your symptoms.

After your virtual or in-person assessment, Queenie will explain her findings to you and her diagnosis for your condition. She will create a personalized treatment plan with you and help you work towards your health goals. You may feel more symptomatic or sore after the assessment and that is normal.
